1. Who are we?

Travel With Me is an educational mobile travel app designed for children ages 3 to 17, together with their parents. The app offers an AI companion (Ody), tailor-made educational programmes and smart travel itineraries.

2. Data we collect

Parent data:

• Email address (for authentication)
• Preferred language

Children's data:

• First name (to personalise the experience)
• Age / date of birth (to adapt the content)
• Educational progress (completed modules, quizzes)
• Conversations with Ody (the AI companion)

Travel data:

• Chosen destinations
• Travel dates
• Generated itineraries

4. How we use the data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Personalise educational content based on the child's age
• Generate travel itineraries tailored to your family
• Allow Ody to respond in a relevant way
• Save educational progress

5. Artificial intelligence

Conversations with Ody are processed by AI models (Claude by Anthropic, OpenAI). This data:

• Is used only to generate responses
• Is never used to train the models
• Travels in encrypted form
• Is filtered by a multi-layer, age-appropriate safety system

6. Parental consent

In compliance with GDPR-K and COPPA:

• A parent account is required to create child profiles
• The parent manages and controls all of their children's data
• A parental PIN protects access to sensitive settings
• The parent can enable or disable internet access for each child

7. Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If your account is deleted, all data is wiped within 30 days.

8. Rights of parents and children

At any time, you can:

• Access all of your children's data
• Export the data in a digital format
• Delete a child profile or the entire account
• Edit information at any time

11. Subprocessors

We work with trusted partners, strictly necessary for the service to function:

• Supabase (EU) — hosting and database
• Anthropic / OpenAI (US) — AI conversation processing
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Brevo (EU) — transactional emails and newsletters
• Meta Platforms (Facebook) (US) — anonymous audience measurement on our website via the Meta Pixel, only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. No data related to children is ever transmitted to Meta. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
• Cloudflare (US/EU) — CDN and DDoS protection for the website and API
• Fly.io (US/EU) — backend API hosting

Data transfers to the United States (Anthropic, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Meta, Cloudflare, Fly.io) are performed under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

12. AI Usage — Anthropic Claude

Travel With Me uses Anthropic Claude (an AI service based in the United States, GDPR compliant) to generate personalized content. This use requires your explicit in-app consent, collected during signup. Without this consent, AI features are disabled.

Data sent to Anthropic:

• First name and age of your children
• Travel preferences (destination, dates, interests)
• Messages your child writes to Ody (our AI companion)

Data never sent to Anthropic:

• Your email address
• Travel journal photos
• Payment information
• Children's last names

Purposes: generation of personalized itineraries, creation of age-adapted educational modules, Ody companion responses, souvenir book content.

Retention: Anthropic does not retain submitted content to train its models. Our data processing agreement with Anthropic ensures GDPR compliance and the application of Standard Contractual Clauses.

Revocation: you can withdraw this consent at any time via Profile → Settings → AI Usage. After revocation, AI features are immediately disabled. You can reactivate later through the same path.
